Today we spent the afternoon shooting at a range just south of Lexington KY at the Blue Grass Sportsmen's League shooting the Battle in the Blue Grass single stack and production match. Great day for a match and I had a great time.

Grayson should have had a reshoot. Plates must fall when hit, per rule. The plate hanging by one pin is a madatory reshoot.
Not to throw sand at anybody, but not knowing the rules can bite you in the butt in more ways than one.

grayson was HUNGRY so the only thing he was thinking about was food.
Scooter could have had one as well when the RO was in the way.
Still trying to figure out how the guy who hooked his mags on the chair got one. His fault, stage discription did not require back to be aginst chair.
Next time can we have all the media banned from the range?
All the light, cameras, Pavarotti and big time video stars really threw Matt and me off our game.:D:D

The chair thing was wrong, and I was never consulted on that one.
Actually, Robert you should have had a reshoot also, since a forward falling popper actually fell backwards. That has to be a range equipment failure. I granted Alex Lyons a reshoot for the exact same thing. Although his reshoot took about 10-12 seconds longer than the first one.

Diana really liked seeing the video of the stage starring Danamite.
Stage 7, Don't Blink was the stage where she beat me like a drum, so it was a very good stage in her opinion ;)
We had a very good day at the range, even if we weren't on the AGC/Hunting with Hammerdick squad.
Hopefully, this was the first in a long series of Battles in the Bluegrass.

I just noticed that Gary, but once threw was enough punishment not to mention I dont think I would have had enough ammo to finish the match if I had to reshoot it.

BTW-do those guys have any NORMAL poppers?

The forward falling are strongly encouraged at BGSL to insure rounds don't leave the range.
I suspect you will see more and more off them as urban sprawl continues.
Hell, even our range is getting surrounded.
I did not know that.
Slick set-up on their forward fallers, though.

Is that the same reason for the concrete bays with baffles?
That was super-weird to shoot in the first time.

Yep. They allegedly had a round get out of the rifle range and hit a house, that happened to be for sale, and ever since they are really up tight about any rounds leaving the range.

As damned far out of the way that place is........while possible, not believable.
It will only be a matter of time before some place get so anal about it that steel will be prohibited!

One thing about those forward fallers is I was shooting 122pf ammo at them all day and the only time I double tapped one was because I was trigger happy and trying to get rid of all that bull $**t remington ammo.........

With the rear falling poppers the danger comes with two or three shots on the popper "driving" it down faster. As the popper falls the angle changes and the second and third shot may be directed up and to the rear, thereby possibly leaving the range. Of course this all depends on where your range is located, etc., etc.

Did you take a look at or was there any close calls on Range 5 with the DQ line? I don't recall any mention of a defined DQ line in the WSB...just what the RO said after he finished reading the WSB.....plus given the "line" was a gob of paint on the shooting area.

No and I don't think there would have been unless it was way, way past the line.
The issue was that if you got closer, and engaged you were within the 23 feet line. The way the course was set up, by the time I got there, it was a moot point and we had to do the best we could with what we had.
Thankfully we didn't have to deal with that issue.

Your right gary, I looked it up after we got home on the steel must fall, But what the hell, the drive down and back with me,robert, matt and grayson was worth the price. On the guy getting hooked on the chair, I didn't know if, any shooter could question it or is it up to ro.

Hooking a chair on your butt is a shooter problem. Been there, done that, did not get a t-shirt for it:(
After all the shooter only had to hang a cheek on the chair. No excuse for hanging magazines up in the chair also.
