The Aussie 556 is pretty good stuff as far as I'm concerned. Better than Russian for sure.

Be sure you check http://www.bulkammo.com/ too -- They have Federal for $315/500. That is still double what it was 8 months ago but not too bad compared to what some retail places are charging...

I don't know much about these rifles but I've been looking for another long barreled AK. Are they decent? I can't seem to find any 20 inch ones for sale to compare but I found one in Ashland for sale for $750. Seems high but I'm used to the Romanian ones and the seller tells me the Egyptian ones are...

I think most unbiased people would tell you that both can get the job done. Be sure you shoot both (and a Glock!) as much as possible before you make a decision and pick which ever you like the best.
