I'm in. That is a lot of steel though. I'm thinking 8 falling plates or poppers and a Texas star. The club still has a star don't you? If a star isn't available I can add a few more falling plates. My design will be right/left neutral even though it pains me. I also want to make sure it's quick to ...

Shotgun side match for 5/19

I would like to set up a shotgun side match for the next USPSA match. There will be 13 or 14 steel targets. I'm thinking 3 classes: Hunter: pump action limited to 5 rounds capacity. 870, 500, 1300 etc. Tactical: pump or semi auto limited to 9 rounds or less Open: run what you want. What do think? An...

Shoot me your email address via PM on this board and we can take the 3gun discussion off-line. My friend, Roger, who will be at Ashland on Sunday and I have shot a fair amount of 3gun. We have some ideas about what does and doesn't work. If you look for a couple of gray haired, slightly overweight, ...

Let me know if you need help and I'll try to be there to help setup the stage. Help is always appreciated. I've got an idea for a stage that will require 18 pieces of steel and minimal labor to reset. Minimal reset labor helps keep things from getting bottle necked. I'll check out the steel Sunday....

We'll shoot carbines every match. A lot of stages will require transition to handgun. If you'd like a shotgun stage, you're more than welcome to set one up. They generally have been poorly attended though which is why none are scheduled. If you want actual hillbillys to shoot steel you must make it...

Putnam County is running 3 gun as well. And Doug if you would like to set up a shotgun match let me know when and I will schedule it. To quote a leader in our sport; Many love to shoot, few are willing to work. How much steel could I have to set up a stage? I don't mind working and you know my stag...

Bluegrass Sportsman at Lexington/Wilmore and Pickaway County, pcsirange.com, at Circleville, OH. The next one at C'ville is 6/2. Both clubs put on a good match. Both clubs will have 60 shooters per match.

To shoot a 3gun at C'ville you have to sign up via shootnscoreit to register prior to the match.

The C-rums lifter is worth it's weight in gold. The only problem is getting it tuned to your gun. I ordered the lifter and installed it myself. It took a fair amount of time and effort to get it right. If I was going to install another I'd send the gun to C-rums and let him do it. My experience is p...

I thought I had a photo of Grandpa's poke stock. Here it is. I don't know much about shotguns or any guns for that matter so here's what little I know about it. I think it's a H&R Toppernelli M2. I think it has a Nordic extension and bolt handle, whatever that is. It's supposed to have something cal...

I to would welcome a shotgun side match. Grandpa's poke stock single shot would be pretty competitive I think. ;)
