Here is a little barricade I threw together today. It is inspired by Kyle Lamb's barricade in his book. For reference, the entire thing is 24" x 48." The slit is 2" x 10" and forces the rifle to be held sideways. Steve has also been working on barricades so lets just say that future rifle shoots might get interesting.

Are you providing the cushy rug and knee pads for us old timers?

I have talked to several to gauge interest in a AR15 match only in October of 09. This would be a one day 5 stage match with two classes, open and limited (or tactical). If there is enough interest the barricade that Scott just constructed and the one I have at the range could be used as part of match. After our new construction is over we will have a lot more flexibility in stage design etc.
Any comments or interest in helping with the match set up?

If there is enough interest, I'll bring it up at the match meeting on the 15th.

As long as you are the responsible authority for posting the scores, I imagine that we can work something out.

Not a problem, its wood my 223 rounds will go right trough it.

Acuracy might suffer a bit but I can live with that.

I tested this very theory on Steve's barricade last week. You are right, bullets go right through it and accuracy isn't bad at 25 yards. The sideways bullet holes look a little funny though!
