IEDs, small arms fire and RPGs, and a soldiers worst enemy is still boredom! So, me and Ford decided we were gonna build something out of 550 paracord besides keychains and bracelets, and decided it had to be big. So as we lay down in the bunk one night to go to sleep, I suddenly blurted out "Hammock! Lets build a friggin hammock!" So it was decided. We snatched 2 spools (what was left of them) of 550 cord out of a conex, spent an entire day untangling it, and then began to work. After 3 zillion miles (slight hyperbole) of 550 cord, we created a hammock.

Yes there were shit-eatin grins and jeers from the other soldiers about how it would fail, but I will ler the pics speak for themselves.

Yes, we will be posting daylight pictures of our Tactical Survival Hardcore 550 cord hammock LOL...any ideas what we should build next? we've thought of a 550 cord shitter, but it's be a one-time use....a 550 cord plane haha yeah to get us the hell out of here...

Yeah the hammock is good for all occasions and settings, except cold Afghanistan in the winter hehe.

No it isn't a surefire in my hand, it's a Gladius. No M4 there either, just an M9 (92FS). And you will never guess where all my knives are! lmao

The only problem with the 90 degree ass rotation for defecation is that it tends to stink up the sleeping area. Other than that we are trying to come up with a new project, probably bigger lol.

Any ideas will be appreciated. We both leave pretty late so we will probably have time to build it.
