PCC

Post by Gary Stevens » Tue Jul 19, 2016 2:57 pm

Now that we are beginning to run PCC at the club, either as a first run or second run, I thought a few points were in order.

Suppressors are not allowed to insure correct times.

No up range starts with the carbine.

Strong hand requires the carbine to be fired strong shoulder trigger pulled with the strong hand.
Weak hand requires the carbine to be fired weak shoulder trigger pulled with the weak hand.
Both hands may be on carbine in either position.

The carbine must have a chamber flag or some device to show that it is empty especially when transporting from vehicles, safety area, or stage to stage.

Uncased carbines must be carried shouldered or slung from the shoulder, or held in the hands with the firearm reasonably vertical.

When using a cart or mobile rack insure that the chamber flag is visible.

Be very careful with your muzzle direction when being cased or uncased or placing in a rifle rack. Do not muzzle another shooter.

Normal starting positions for PCC are facing downrange, carbine held in both hands, stock touching belt (port arms), or shouldered (low ready). Finger out of trigger guard safety on.

Carbine may be loaded or unloaded at start depending on WSB.

Table starts are permitted if done safely.

Hands on marks equals carbine muzzle on marks.

Barricade or other wall starts should be muzzle touching a mark approximately 3 feet above ground.

End of stage range commands should be "if you are finished, unload and show clear, if clear, bolt closed, hammer down, flag".

We will be getting more rifle racks soon. Until then just be careful.

Any questions feel free to contact me.
