Thanks to everyone who came out today, set up stages, helped run squads and
encouraged the new shooters.
FYI: On Stage #1 8 out of 19 shooters used the Keanu Reeves "Speed" movie pop quiz answer: shoot thru the no-shoot to get the shoot target
Jay's ballot on setting up a drill as one of the stages went overwhelming for
setting up a drill (as in 6 to 1 for the drill) So Jay, what sort of fun & games
are in store for December?
My favorite black & purple spider ONLY had two new bullet holes after this
year's Halloween stage, so it was a good day for spidey....
Hope to see everyone at the December IDPA match

Thanks for getting the scores up so fast!
What was the name of that drill you had to shoot at 25 yards and 50 yards? The Bane drill???

Yes, that's the name.
An article can be found in the October 2016 issue of Shooting Illustrated (NRA), page 32, Skills Check, written by Ed Head (of Gunsite) He lists Michael Bane (Shooting Gallery, etc) as the author of this drill.
Short version is 5 rounds at 25 yards into a 6" circle, then 5 rounds at 50 yards into a 10" circle.
No time limit, any stance/kneeling/prone/barricade
Pass/Fail

Thanks for the getting the scores done. It was a good match.
The Bane drill sounds like a good exercise for support side only...
