NIGHT MATCH

Post by S Lance » Mon Mar 06, 2017 11:45 am

The club will hold its first night match this Saturday, March 11th, after the IDPA match.

The match will consist of three stages. Sign up will be around 6:00 p.m. with shooting to start around 7:00 pm.

We will utilize IDPA scoring but this is not an IDPA match so expect a varied stage design. The start position will be with gun in hand. Either flashlights or weapon mounted lights (WML's) will be used, or NOD's. There will be no other artificial sources of light during the courses of fire, but we will try to have some light available when not shooting for administrative tasks. If the shooter doesn't have a holster that will accept a WML, the gun may be bagged between stages. Shooters using WML's must also have a handheld light for administrative tasks. Headlamps are fine but are not to be used for shooting. Each shooter will be required to carry a lit chemlight on the back of their cap or shirt so that we can can keep up with everyone. The club will supply the chemlights.

Pistol caliber carbines are fine, but no full power rifles will be allowed for this match. Also, suppressors are not to be used for this match. If shooting a PCC, an ECI will be required.

The emphasis on this first match will be on safety and fun.

As further details are worked out, I will update this post.

Thanks to everyone that came out and shot. I thought it went pretty well for our first try and I hope everyone had a good time.

If there is interest, hopefully we can do one in the fall.
