Lead levels

Discussion has gone around regarding lead levels in shooters blood. Some of us have had had elevations when our levels are checked, myself included.
Lead is taken into the body by inhaling it or ingesting it.
Inhaled lead can be avoided by shooting only in well vented areas (outdoors). If you are shooting indoors, make sure the ventilation at the range is on and working.
Ingested lead is easier to avoid. Use gloves when handling steel targets. Use lead wipes and wash your hands after shooting and before eating.
If you have any questions ask me, I’ll try to get you answers.
