Discussion has gone around regarding lead levels in shooters blood. Some of us have had had elevations when our levels are checked, myself included.
Lead is taken into the body by inhaling it or ingesting it.
Inhaled lead can be avoided by shooting only in well vented areas (outdoors). If you are shooting indoors, make sure the ventilation at the range is on and working.
Ingested lead is easier to avoid. Use gloves when handling steel targets. Use lead wipes and wash your hands after shooting and before eating.
If you have any questions ask me, I’ll try to get you answers.

Lead levels
Re: Lead levels
Thanks for the info Tom.
At my last indoor match I used some of those de-leading wipes and the amount of residue left on them was pretty frightening.
I'm picking up these for both my range bag and for reloading at home:
Foaming hand soap: https://amzn.to/31NQcNu
Individually wrapped wipes: https://amzn.to/2PqxM2X

Re: Lead levels
I’ve been using the wipes and I plan to use gloves on the range when I’m not shooting. Too easy to do for the piece of mind.
