Sundays' Match Still On?

Post by hesedmedia » Sat Feb 21, 2009 7:59 pm

Hey are we still on for tomorrow? Weather says it's gonna be pretty cold and snowy.

And if it gets cancelled sometime tomorrow morning, can someone shoot me a text message at 304 932 7008? because I have to drive for like an hour to get out there. Thanks, guys.

Yes the match is still on. It may be a little cold. They are forecasting 1" of wet snow and 29 degrees. No problem, we will be there.
See you at 11:30 for sign up.

Congratulations to the stup.....hardy souls that showed up to shoot the match. It was a strange day with some really nasty snow showers followed by some pretty decent times, followed by some really nasty snow showers, followed by some cold as the dickens wind, followed by....well you get the picture.

I have completed the scores and sent them to our webmaster for posting.

We had about 6 new shooters who I believe had a good time and left the range better shooters than when they arrived. All were a good bunch of guys and I hope they continue to come to our matches.

I have almost thawed out, and the key word is almost.

I look forward to hearing the excuses of the pussies that wimped out.

Here you guy,

My excuse was that I am completely out of shape and worked on the farm most of the day Saturday. I woke Sunday unable to lift my arms, and was unable to get out of bed. In fact, it still hurts to type. Yes, I am a pussy, but honestly could not have a held a loaded gun safely yesterday.

It was a good day-hopefully those guys won't disappear from the face of the earth, never to return to the range.

I know, I had a good time once again besides my major screw ups.
1. Not having the mag seated.
2. Thumb hitting my slide lock.
3. Almost missing a reload.

On the upside.
I picked up some good tips, If I was good with name I would thank them. Sense am not if you talked to me just assume it was you :)
All my reloads fired without a problems.
I picked up about 20 extra brass than I shot.
My wife didn't find out I paid for two rounds and not just one :)

Gee, I never do anything like that! Seriously though, that's all just a part of the learning process, and if you ever figure out how to do all of it perfectly, please let me know how.
