This is one of the prime reasons I voted to buy the Steel Challenge, the involvement of very young kids in the shooting sports.

This is very cool.

Seems like a good cause. Did the club ever decide to do anything with the Steel Challenge?

I believe the thought was to recover from the range improvements/repairs before we do anything.

How do we get kids to come to the events if we had them? I don't think you can even say the word "gun" within ten miles of a school anymore.

Maybe you can text them.

On that note here is a poem I thought up regarding cell phones.

I don't text, and I don't tweet
Want to talk, keep it short and sweet
If I should die before I wake
With all my phones, feel free to break

What age range are we talking about here? I can donate four teenagers. Well, two 16-year-olds and my 18-year-old nephew.

Amen, Brother. Maybe we could get Grayson to do it-he's the only one young enough to know how.

The idea is to give a venue for really young kids to learn about shooting and safe gun handling skills. As you see in the pictures, some of the kids are very young.

I think those who are 16-18 should be ready for the USPSA side of the game.

True, but they have only been shooting a short while. In fact, the 18-year-old, my nephew Dale, is from Cincinnati and has only just started shooting last month. I'd like to get them all into some intro classes....
