A body to lobby lawmakers at all levels.

So, we don't have a committe that writes letters, sends e-mails, makes phone calls to elected representatives?

And why do I need to donate a couple million when we don't need a lobbyist? I'm not trying to be abrasive, I'm just asking a question.

What I can donate is time, paper, phone calls, energy. That is, if anyone wants it.

I cant speak for anyone else but I already do contact my elected reps.
State & Federal and not just on Firearms related issues.

Not sure how much traction a club would get over the same number of individuals.

PM sent as well.

I know several of our members write, call, email, and even meet our politicians in person to discuss our rights. The club has no official committee, it has been generally understood, that the members would all do what their time and money allowed them to do. If anybody is interested in starting a local lobbying group, then run with it. We could all use a little more organization.

Thanks

I think everyone who takes the time to join an organization like AGCPD does something, and those individual efforts should be applauded, continued, expanded, and applauded some more. One reason I brought it up is an article I read about a sportsman's club starting up such a committee, and I also noted that the NRA and GOA and other groups send me form letters to send on to my reps.

I'm not good at much, but I can write, and I can agitate. In fact, part of my job six days a week is bulling through red tape, public and private. Anything I can do, I'll do.

Sounds good to me. Slade, do you want your own sub-forum to help organize us?

If you think that's necessary. Would it be possible to get a firearms news RSS feed?
