For anyone who cares, birdshot only will be required for Sunday's sideshoot.

What kind of shotgun is needed for the side shoot?
Some people have called me ignorant and apethetic...
I tell them I don't know what that means and I don't care.

One that functions.
We shoot both pump and auto classes, so whatever you have should be fine; it does need to hold at least 5 rounds total (I'll have 5 steel targets set up, as a general rule, if it takes more than 5 shots, you're wasting ammo at that point).

is it more of a tactical shotgun shoot? all i have is my 28" remington 1187. I'm down for shooting as much as a i can whenever i can but i dont want to get boo'd off of the course either!! It will hold 4+1 so i guess that would do it. Are reloads required during a string?

This match will not involve reloads, so 4+1 is fine, and even if it did require reloads, we'd all be in the same boat.
Bring the durn thing out and shoot it!
71/2 or 8 shot will do-whatever is cheap and will run your gun. I use the Wally World stuff, myself.

well you talked me into it. i was just afraid everyone would be shooting 9 shot tactical models and i'd be left standing there with my **** in my hand. I had the shotgun out yesterday shooting a few clay birds. It reminded me how much i like shooting shotgun.
