Anyone planning on shooting long gun after the IDPA match? Is IDPA now PCC/RCC friendly, or is it just pistol caliber?
FWIW, my stage will not have any steel.

August IDPA
I plan on shooting RCC Sunday.
One of my stages will have steel. For PCC it's no problem. For carbines, RCC....the steel isn't rifle caliber rated.
For rifle calibers (5.56MM) last month the competitor using a 5.56 AR on the stage involving steel engaged the steel with a handgun, ULSC, set the handgun down on a barrel, and then engaged the rest of the targets with the 5.56 AR. Works for me, no moving in front of a loaded weapon, prevented "HOT" reholstering, and didn't puncture the steel.
So on Stage #3, if you wish to reshoot with a RIFLE caliber carbine, engage steel first with a handgun, ULSC and table pistol (I'll have a padded box) and then run the CoF with the Rifle.
Unless someone has another suggestion.....
ULSC: UnLoad, Show Clear
