IDPA help needed

Post by MRB » Sat Jul 30, 2011 10:00 am

Due to a work-related scheduling conflict (hey, I only do it to pay for guns and ammo), I will be unable to set up my usual two stages for the IDPA match scheduled for 28 August.

BCP has already volunteered to set up on range 2.

That leaves five stages to be set up.

Who can set up on the other ranges?????

I can set up three, which will be very ambi-handi crowd pleasers, and I'm pretty sure I can get some of the other usual suspects from this side of the river to pitch in also.

For my first stage I'll need a chair and table and seven target stands.

For my second stage I'll need a chair, a barricade and seven target stands.

My third stage will require a barricade, a small popper and seven target stands.

I know in my heart that everybody loves weak hand reloads as much as I do.;)

Outstanding!

When do you plan on setting up?

These stages aren't super elaborate and labor intensive. Although most of you will find them quite a challenge. I've used them at Marietta and, well, they sure got "comments" from a lot of shooters.

If the gate is open around 09:30 I can set them up myself with plenty of time to spare.

I'll try to get them on paper shortly. Who should I send the scanned pages to?

No one, really. As long as you have a walk-through per stage printed, you can just bring them out to the match.

I'll make sure I'm out early enough that you can get into the buildings-you can have ranges 3, 4, and 5.

That only leaves ranges 1 and 6 open, if anyone else wants to join in (hint, hint).

Thank you, Doug!

I have some terrible news. Tim the engineer wants to set up a stage. I've given him one of my stages so I will only set up 2 stages. I'm afraid of what he may set up. It's almost a guarantee that he will not include any of the lefty stuff we all love.

The names of my stages are:

Family Reunion CQB

Inbred In-Law Assault

Pimp Posse Pursuit

I'm not sure which 2 I'll set up.

Hey, help is help (even if he is an engineer)!

I'm a smidge concerned with your propensity to go both ways, anyway. :p
