I have three AK kits in the can, ready to weld in the rails. This means that I'm in the market for a spot welder, with or without modified tongs.

Anyone? Anyone?

I can get one at Harbor Freight over in Kenova, but I'm cheap. So, if you have a used SW to loan or sell....

I have a friend who may be able to help you out for free. He owns a fab company, and I will ask him if he can let you in his shop to do some work. The only thing I ask for in return is to be able to watch, and ask you some questions about flat builds.

Have you checked your IM's?

Talked to my buddy and he said he would let you into his shop on a weekend, if you want to borrow his equipment. He is going to be out of town this weekend, but will be available after that.

Thanks

Are you about ready to don a mask? Let me know, and we can set up a time to get our welding on.

Oh man, I forgot to tell you, I bought a spot welder! My brother and I went in with a friend and bought one, six sets of tongs, $197 shipped!

I really appreciate your offer, and in return I will offer whatever meager AK-building skills and knowledge I have.

Thanks!
